FRIDAY, 8TH—SUNDAY, 10TH DECEMBER

FOLLOW THE STAR........... Is the theme of our 2017 Christmas Tree Festival.

Put the dates in your diary and make sure you keep the weekend free.

Come along and enjoy the array of trees—real ones with the smell of pine as you pass by them, or artificial ones looking almost as real, or innovative designs in wood, metal, or even paper—each put together with such care, enthusiasm and vision.

Stalls with equally wonderful things to buy, ranging from gifts of all kinds, plants, preserves, cakes, etc. etc., each displayed in such a way that one can't resist! Christmas gifts galore.

Refreshments too, all weekend long, with the kettle on ready to make a warm drink, and toasted teacakes, mincepies, and cakes waiting to be served.

We welcome PhilipUnderwood, Organist and Choirmaster at St.Bartholomews Church, Wilmslow as he opens our Festival at 2.00p.m. We know that his performance of Vivaldi's Four Seasons will set the scene wonderfully. Come along, hear the music and then stay for a cup of tea and browse the stalls afterwards. Entry for Concert £6.

The Village Christingle Service will be held on the Friday evening at 6.00p.m., and we have a Flute Choir, also a Community Choir , entertaining us on Saturday afternoon.

Saturday evening at 7.30p.m. sees the return of Pemberton Old Band, Wigan, who will present a Christmas Concert for us to enjoy. tickets available by ringing the church office (01625 586713) - cost £12.50p.

On Sunday afternoon we are delighted to be working with Alderley Edge Orchestra who are presenting their Christmas Concert as part of our Christmas Tree Festival. Their tickets are available at £10, £1 for children - a lovely Family Concert to draw our Festival to a close. Some of the proceeds from the Weekend will be donated to a charity caring for children in the United Kingdom who have a short life expectancy, helping them to have as fulfilling a life as possible, and offering support to them and their families. "Together for Short Lives" is a most worthwhile outreach to support on this occasion.

More details coming week by week, and also in our December Contact, but do watch out for tickets, details etc.
