Minister's Letter for September 2017

by Judy Povey  |  Posted at 10:35am on 8th September 2017

Dear friends,

What a welcome we are enjoying after our recent move! It is really good to be here after all the planning and preparation, though we are keenly aware of the amount of unpacking and sorting we still need to do in a short space of time.

We are deeply indebted to the people who clearly worked very hard to ensure that both manse and garden are a blank canvas in which our new life and work might blossom.

It is really good to be welcomed into this place, and the wider circuit, by so many thoughtful and caring people. Thank you all.

For now, be assured that our sense of call continues to deepen with each passing day.

We’re hoping to meet many of you at our Welcome Service, and to greet some York circuit travellers as well as family and friends. It should be quite a do!

On we go, together in faith and purpose, serving the God who brings us together, working His purpose out…..

Peace and blessings

Rev Sue and William Swires

For the changing scene all around us as the leaves on the trees have virtually fallen, the gardens are lacking in much colour, and the allotments have yielded their harvest, yet despite the apparent lack of life as the trees and plants rest, there is still growth and colour as the winter plants and vegetables take their turn to show their own growing power.
