Re-Opening of The Net

Net Re-opens! Sunday, 30th April was a very special day for the members of our Youth Club, Breakout, and for their leaders—The Net officially re-opened! People from the original Net project, or those who helped to dig out the cellar in the 1960s, led the vibrant youth activity of the day, alongside those who in recent months have contributed donations or provided funding for the current refurbishment, came together for a short service of thanksgiving. A wonderful gathering of around 70 then went into the Large Hall, where one of the Breakout members, Louis, and Parish Councillor, Rachael Grantham, cut the ribbon and declared The Net well and truly open!

Once the formalities were over, the young people enjoyed showing everyone their space, folks tried their hand at table tennis or snooker, and then back upstairs enjoyed the rest of a very pleasant afternoon over tea and cakes. The room was buzzing with chatter, as people caught up with nearly 50 years of reminiscing, Well done everyone, it was a great occasion, and here's to much success in the future.
