Circuit Year of Prayer

4th June 2017, 2:30pm, Mottram St Andrew

The next events in the Circuit Year of Prayer initiative cover the churches in Plumley,  Alderley Edge, The Welcome, and Mottram St.Andrew and we hope these will encourage people to pray for the communities involved:

Sunday 19th March, at Plumley beginning at 4pm concluding with a Circuit Mission in Britain service at 6pm, when the Preacher will be Rev. Ben Clowes. Tea will be served at 5pm.

Saturday 25th March – Circuit Prayer Relay beginning at Plumley around 10am heading from Church to Church, finishing at Over Peover at around 7pm.  The full distance is around 21 miles but we are hoping that people from each church will sign up to do one of the ‘legs’ but not the ‘leg’ to or from their own church.  Sign-up sheets and more information now available via the Church Office (01625 586713)

Tuesday 11th April, at Alderley Edge beginning at 6.30pm concluding with Holy Week Prayer and Praise at 7.30pm.

Wednesday 24th May, at The Welcome beginning at 7.30pm.  This session will begin the circuit’s involvement in ‘Thy Kingdom Come’ (Churches         Together in Alderley are also joining in this).  This is a national 24/7 prayer    initiative supported by the Anglican and Methodist Churches running officially from Ascension Day (25th May) to Pentecost (4th June).  We’re beginning on 24th May as it is also Wesley Day.

Pentecost Sunday 4th June, at Mottram St Andrew beginning with their    annual Open Air Service at 2.30pm on the green followed by refreshments, then prayer around the village.
