CHRISTMAS TREE FESTIVAL

cHRISTMAS TREE

Our third Christmas Tree Festival is set to take place over the weekend of Friday 2nd December through to Sunday 4th December. Make a note in your diary and come along to see the wonderful display of Christmas Trees which are decorated and contributed by organisations from within the Alderley Edge community, as well as some local businesses and schools. In 2010 we had a marvellous total of around 60 trees of all sizes and types, with each one decorated in an  individual and interesting way - we anticipate that 2011 will match it in every way.

We have a special Lunchtime Concert on Friday , when pianists, Dolby and Hughes, will present a programme of high quality, and this will be the start of our Festival weekend. Saturday night sees the highly acclaimed and 'top of the tree' Fodens Brass Band entertaining what we expect to be a full house - what a wonderful way to enjoy a Saturday evening's concert, listening to such a talented Band. Tickets will be on sale very shortly at £12.50p.

Throughout the weekend we will be entertained by singers, hand bell ringers, and other musicians, and we bring our Christmas Tree Festival to a close on the Sunday afternoon with Carols Round the Trees. This year we are delighted that Sale Salvation Army have agreed to come along and lead our singing, and in return we shall be supporting the work of this branch of the Salvation Army by making them our charity outreach for the Festival.

Stalls, refreshments etc. will be available throughout the weekend and we look forward to seeing as many people as possible coming through our doors - you will all be most welcome. All proceeds of the Christmas Tree Festival will be donated to our church Spire Appeal.
